How it
Actually Works.
No magic. Just pure cryptography secured by the hardware you already own.
1
Your Digital Passport
🔑Your computer has a TPM chip (Trusted Platform Module). During setup, CertaFide uses it to generate a pair of unique cryptographic keys (a "public" and "private" key).
2
Signing the Message
✍️When you send an email, CertaFide uses your private key to sign a "fingerprint" of the message content. This signature is embedded invisibly in the email's metadata.
3
Instant Verification
🔍When a recipient opens your email, the CertaFide extension automatically looks up your public key and mathematically checks the signature against the message content.
4
Trust Confirmed
🛡️If the signature matches, it proves the email came from your specific authorized device and hasn't been tampered with. The user sees a Green Verified Badge.
